Brief Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Events Administrator to join our Cervical Screening Project Team on a Fixed Term Contract. We are looking for someone with high energy & enthusiasm who thrives on variety and bringing people together.

You will work specifically within our Cervical Screening Project – a project which aims to increase the uptake of cervical screening amongst specific groups including:

  • Women who have never had a smear;
  • Women aged 25-49 – no smear in 4 years;
  • Women aged 50-64 - no smear in 6 years;
  • Deprivation;
  • Learning Difficulties and Mental health;
  • LGBT+; and
  • Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME)


In this role, you will support with producing content, plan, and deliver activity across all communications channels to help create informed, involved, and engaged stakeholders including primary care health professionals, key health influencers, health organisations, outreach, charities, and service users across Suffolk.

Being part of a small team means no two days are the same and you will be involved in all aspects of what we deliver – everything from producing content for our social media, various newsletters, promotions, presentations, and various marketing materials.

Experience of working in a busy communications environment would be an advantage but a strong desire to work in this area, combined with creativity, strong organisational and good communication skills both verbal and written are the important qualities we are looking for.

This is an innovative and exciting opportunity for someone who would like to broaden their skills and can work face to face as well as in a creative capacity.

Role details:

  • The role will involve working remotely from various areas across Suffolk.
  • This is a fixed-term position until 31st May 2022 although there is possibility that the contract may be extended
  • Part time hours, can be worked around school hours and other commitments. Usual days of work would be Monday, Thursday and Friday.
