Brief Description

Are you a Clinical Pharmacist looking for a change? We do things a bit differently.

Our team is expanding; we are excited to be able to offer a full-time Clinical Pharmacist opportunity within our practice in Haverhill working for Suffolk GP Federation CIC.

What’s the role?

  • You’ll work with a highly-skilled, well supported and forward-thinking clinical team.
  • You’ll be patient facing and your role will include all aspects of medicines management across both long term and acute presentations
  • You will be a key member of the clinical pharmacy practice team working alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians reporting to the senior pharmacist.
  • You will also be involved in processing queries from patients on our electronic consultation system.
  •

Where is it?

We are a modern and exciting practice, with a growing reputation for providing compassionate and connected healthcare. Even though as a nation we are facing challenging times, we are keen to ensure that we are providing high quality management across our primary care team.

The Suffolk GP Federation is a non-profit organisation owned by 57 GP practices. Our aim is to find innovative solutions to the challenges currently faced by the NHS while at the same time protecting the interests of general practice and ensuring that patients continue to receive the very best care.

Is it for me?

We will make sure you are fully inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It’s important to us that you feel safe and supported in your clinical decision making.

  • You’d be suited to this role if you are enthusiastic, motivated and wanting to offer the very best up to date patient care.
  • You will undertake the Centre for Postgraduate Pharmacy Education training (CPPE) programme to become, if not already, an independent pharmacist prescriber.
  • You will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • You will also need to have an appreciation of the nature of GPs and general practices and good interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills.

What we can offer you:

  • Innovative teams who strive in forward thinking, with a voice that is heard
  • A visible and supportive management team, with operational support that ‘get it’
  • Excellent IT teams & support giving us first class equipment and ‘no wait’ responses
  • A commitment to personal development, training and leadership opportunities, with service-managed training budgets
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Death in service cover
  • Competitive salaries with annual benchmarking
  • 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays) on starting, rising to 29 days (plus bank holidays) after 5 years’ service
  • Blue light card employer – Access to the discount service with thousands of discounts online and on the high street
