Brief Description

Administrator

We’re seeking Administrators to join our brand-new collaborative team to work within the Urgent Treatment Centre at Ipswich Hospital – due to open September 2024.

The purpose built, state of the art Urgent & Emergency Care Centre will allow for Suffolk GP Federation and ESNEFT staff to work collaboratively allowing a true multi-disciplinary workforce. The UECC will provide the new ‘front door’ service at Ipswich Hospital, and will allow for the quick assessment and direction of patients to the appropriate care, maximising the ability to stream patients who would otherwise attend the Emergency Department directly.

What is the role?

  • You’ll be providing administrative support to the clinical team working within the Urgent & Emergency Care Centre.
  • A key responsibility will include the effective management of appointments, including; wait times, communication to patients and inputting details into SystmOne.
  • You’ll also be on hand to support the clinical team with any IT issues when required – including utilising the IT team for support.

Is it for me?

  • If you’ve worked within a health care setting before as an administrator, this would an advantage to your application.
  • You’ll need to have a patient focused approach, and have clear written and verbal communication skills to succeed in this role.
  • It’s important that you can integrate as part of a wider team, and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

What will we offer you?

  • Competitive pay rates
  • Daytime / Evening rate - £13.02 per hour
  • Protected time built in to the rota to allow for meaningful learning and regular breaks.
  • A place to learn and develop – a new culture which embraces new approaches and supports career development.

  • A supportive, safe, and inclusive environment. We embrace differences, recognise clinical autonomy, and have visible leadership.
