GP+ Practice Nurse

We have opportunities for Practice Nurses to work in our GP+ extended access service within West Suffolk.

What is the role?

  • You will work with the wider urgent care clinical team to provide a safe and effective extended access primary care service.
  • You’ll see patients for various different reasons such as, pill checks, cervical screening, injections, wound care, and swabs.
  • You’ll use SystmOne as a part of your role which will give you access to full patient notes (subject to patient sharing preferences)

You’ll join our GP+ service, which is an extended access service delivering extra primary appointments in the evening, and on weekends across Suffolk.

Is it for me?

We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.

  • You’ll be an experienced Practice Nurse who will be qualified and experienced in a variety of clinical presentations.
  • You’ll work within a familiar support environment, with full support from our administration non-clinical team.
  • You’ll have support from a skilled team, and will have a shadow shift when you commence employment to ensure you feel comfortable with your surroundings.

Contract type:

This is a bank contract – with the option to pick up shifts on a rota basis working out of our primary cares bases.

What we can offer you:

  • A strong ethos of flexible working, to help us maintain (or reclaim) that work/life balance.
  • Innovative teams who strive in forward thinking, with a voice that is heard.
  • A visible and supportive management team, with operational support that ‘get it’
  • Excellent IT teams & support giving us first class equipment and ‘no wait’ responses
