Lead Nurse - Bladder and Bowel Service
Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for bladder and bowel care? We are seeking a dedicated Lead Nurse to join our Bladder and Bowel Service, offering expert care and leadership in managing patient needs.
The Lead Nurse will be pivotal in overseeing and delivering high-quality care and coordinating the service. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership to ensure excellent service delivery and patient outcomes.
What’s the Role?
- Lead and manage the Bladder and Bowel Service, ensuring the provision of high-quality care to patients with bladder, bowel, and continence issues.
- Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for a caseload of patients.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care in both clinic and home settings.
- Provide expert clinical guidance and leadership to nursing associates, healthcare support workers, and other team members.
- Support and empower patients and carers to develop self-management skills, promoting independence and well-being.
- Monitor and improve the effectiveness of the service, using data and feedback to drive service development.
- Act as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, supporting professional development and training.
The Bladder and Bowel Service is managed by Suffolk GP Federation, a not-for-profit organisation committed to ensuring comprehensive care for those with incontinence issues.
Is it for Me?
We are looking for an experienced nurse with a background in bladder, bowel, and continence care who thrives in a community care setting.
- You’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in bladder, bowel, and continence care.
- You should have leadership experience and be confident in managing a team and providing clinical supervision.
- Excellent communication and IT skills are essential, as you will be using our clinical system (training will be provided).
- You must be comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team, with the ability to make clinical decisions and manage a diverse caseload.
- A full driving license and access to regular transport are required due to the nature of the work, involving travel across the county.
