Rota Administrator
We are looking for a Rota Administrator to join our Rota Team, whose primary function is to support the efficient running of our urgent care services by ensuring the rota is filled to the designed template.
What is the role?
- You’ll work closely with the clinical leads, and operational managers to ensure the service is able to run effectively with a full rota.
- You’ll be contacting clinical and operational staff by phone and email to ensure the rota template is populated.
- You will be supporting with reports and ensuring staff compliancy when adding employees into the rota.
You’ll join our Urgent Care Service, which is made up of Out of Hours, GP+ and ED Streaming – these are all delivered by Suffolk GP Federation. We are a not-for-profit, community interest company and our main purpose is to support Primary Care across Suffolk, including support with working collaboratively and at scale. We also deliver a portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound and Diabetes.
Is it for me?
We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.
- You will have worked in an administrative capacity before, providing comprehensive support with the ability to prioritise workload accordingly.
- If you’ve worked within healthcare before, this will be an advantage to your application – however, is not essential.
- You’ll need to have good IT skills, and be able to pick up new systems efficiently with our supportive training.
Contract type:
This role will be based at our Urgent Care Head Office, Riverside Clinic in Ipswich. The position will be part time, and will work on a two week rota which will include the below shifts:

Wednesday 08:00-14:00
Thursday 12:00-18:00
Friday 12:00-18:00
Week 2
Wednesday 08:00-14:00
Friday 12:00-18:00
Saturday 08:00-14:00
