Brief Description

Member Services Projects Implementation Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Projects Implementation Manager to join our Member Services Team. You’ll be supporting our Member Practices to implement projects and initiatives, helping to identify areas of weakness or challenge within general practice, designing practical solutions, and delivering improvements both locally and at scale across practices and PCNs.

Areas of focus will include practice resilience, quality, regulatory readiness, workforce development, financial sustainability, and patient care pathways.

The role will also support the rollout of digital, automation, and service transformation projects where these contribute to efficiency, safety, and enhanced patient experience.

What are the key areas of responsibility?

  • To establish relationships and work closely with PCN managers, practice managers and digital transformation leads.
  • To identify common pressures and issues which can be addressed by working at scale and/or digital solutions.
  • To manage several projects which support member practices. These will range from the straightforward to complex but all will need agreed time frames and budgets.
  • To ensure delivery of projects is maintained especially at times of pressure on general practice.
  • To be the first point of contact for the delivery of projects and ensure effective communication throughout.

We foresee the following areas as initial priorities:

  • Practice operations and compliance e.g. Supporting practice mergers, CQC readiness and workforce/HR initiatives
  • Efficiency and workflow e.g. Helping practices streamline processes, adopt best practice models, and implement neighbourhood-level collaboration, drawing on expertise where required.
  • Service delivery e.g. Coordinating enhanced services (e.g. NHS Health Checks, vaccination programmes, or other locally commissioned schemes) to ensure consistency, uptake, and improved outcomes.
  • Financial sustainability e.g. Supporting practices to strengthen profitability by facilitating reviews of income streams, costs, dispensary operations, and the use of dashboards and financial tools — in partnership with finance and business experts.
  • Digital and transformation projects e.g. Coordinating the rollout of digital, automation, and service transformation initiatives, ensuring practices are supported by technical and digital specialists as needed.

Is it for me?

We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.

The specific role requires someone:

  • With bags of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Is able to work using their own initiative but with support when its needed.
  • To understand how practices work and be able to build effective relationships with key practices managers.
  • Is eager to learn, work at the cutting edge of general practice and personally develop.
