We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our well-established Clinical Practice Pharmacy Team as part of our Primary Care Network, working across our clinical patient facing sites including Haverhill, Long Melford, Lavenham and Glemsford as well as from our centralised Hub in Haverhill, where most of the clinical workload is triaged with telephone and virtual consultations.
What’s the role?
- You'll work with a highly-skilled, well supported and forward thinking clinical team..
- Essentially you will provide support for the management and development of prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and quality prescribing within Unity
- You will be a key member of the clinical pharmacy practice team working alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians reporting to the senior pharmacist.
- You will also be involved in processing Econsult queries from patients.
The Clinical Pharmacy Team is highly appreciated by our wider multi-disciplinary team covering patient cohort of over twenty-four thousand. There are clear benefits to the patients, GPs, the multi-disciplinary team, and the wider practice team.
We want to invest in our staff, so professional development is encouraged and supported. We will support you towards, an Independent Prescribing qualification unless already an independent prescriber.

- You’d be suited to this role if you have a caring and empathetic nature
- The successful candidate will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- You will also need to have an appreciation of the nature of GPs and general practices and good interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills.
- We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, motivated and wanting to offer the very best up to date patient care
- It’s important that you can work well as part of a team as well as independently
- You’ll need to be able to pick up new IT systems with supportive training
Contract type
- Part-time: 22.5 hours per week, 3 days per week.
