Brief Description

Technical Project Manager

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our organisation on a fixed term basis, subject to successful contract award.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a major IT mobilisation programme, supporting the transition of infrastructure, systems and services across the Federation.

You will lead on coordinating technical workstreams such as domain, device, data and VPN migration, ensuring delivery is on track.

Working closely with internal teams, suppliers and NHS stakeholders, you’ll ensure projects are well planned, risks are managed, and delivery is coordinated effectively across multiple moving parts.

This is a hands-on delivery role — ideal for someone who enjoys managing complex projects, working collaboratively and making things happen.

You’ll join our IM&T team. We are a not-for-profit, community interest company and our main purpose is to support Primary Care across Suffolk, including support with working collaboratively and at scale. A key way we do this is by delivering a portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk including Podiatry and Ultrasound, as well as Urgent Care Services including the Out of Hours face-to-face Service in Suffolk.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing technical project workstreams within a large mobilisation programme
  • Developing and maintaining key project documentation (plans, risks, issues)
  • Coordinating delivery across multiple teams, suppliers and stakeholders
  • Supporting testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and transition into BAU
  • Tracking progress against milestones and escalating risks appropriately
  • Providing regular updates to programme boards and stakeholders
  • Supporting continuous improvement and lessons learned activity

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced project manager with a background in IT or digital projects
  • Confident working across technical and non-technical teams
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Organised, proactive and solution-focused

You’ll bring a solid understanding of IT infrastructure environments (e.g. Microsoft 365, VPN, cloud services) and experience supporting complex delivery programmes.

Contract type:

Full-time, fixed term (July 2026 – December 2026), 37.5 hours per week, predominantly Monday – Friday
Primary location: Walton, Suffolk (with system-wide working)
Salary: Band 8a equivalent

What we can offer you:

  • A strong ethos of flexible working, to help us maintain (or reclaim) that work/life balance
  • Innovative teams who strive in forward thinking, with a voice that is heard
  • A visible and supportive management team, with operational support that ‘get it’
  • Excellent IT teams & support giving us first class equipment and ‘no wait’ responses
  • A commitment to personal development, training, and leadership opportunities, with service-managed training budgets
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Death in service cover
  • Competitive salaries with annual benchmarking
  • 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays) on starting, rising to 29 days (plus bank holidays) after 5 years’ service
  • Blue light card employer – Access to the discount service with thousands of discounts online and on the high street
