We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Marketing & Engagement Coordinator to join our team, supporting the delivery and promotion of our Public Health services across Suffolk and Waveney. The post holder will be primarily working within the NHS Health Checks service.
This varied and dynamic role will focus on increasing awareness, improving uptake, and supporting engagement with services. The role is agile, and will involve a combination of remote working and travel to various community locations, supporting outreach activity and engagement campaigns.
The role will be heavily involved with the organisations social media presence and will look to build this and leverage it to drive uptake within our screening programme.
What is the role?
Reporting to the Public Health & Diagnostics Service Manager, you will be:
- Supporting the promotion and delivery of services by helping to engage local communities, workplaces, and partner organisations
- Supporting the delivery of marketing and engagement campaigns to raise awareness of services
- Supporting community outreach activity and engagement events
- Helping develop and distribute marketing materials both physically and virtually
- Engaging with service users and stakeholders to gain feedback, case studies and similar
- Maintaining accurate records of engagement activity
- Providing administrative support to the team where required
- Working closely with colleagues to support service delivery
- Delivering consistent social media content in line with the services engagement plan.
NHS Health Checks are delivered by Suffolk GP Federation. We are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, with a primary aim of supporting Primary Care across Suffolk through collaborative working at scale.
We also deliver a wide portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound, Diabetes Services, and Urgent Care, including the Out of Hours face-to-face service in Suffolk.

We will work closely with the successful candidate to ensure a comprehensive induction and training programme is in place, alongside regular, constructive supervision. It is important to us that you feel safe, confident, and supported in your role.
- You will ideally have previous experience in community outreach or public health initiatives and be familiar with NHS Health Checks and their objectives.
- You will have experience using Microsoft Office applications and general IT.
- You will be familiar with social media and ideally have an interest/experience of marketing.
- You will be adaptable and able to work sensitively and effectively with diverse populations.
Contract Details: Part-time, permanent (18 hours per week)
Salary: £11,743.20 (£24,465 FTE)
